Everything below comes from manufacturers and workshops we have worked with for many years — makers we know, and would put in our own homes. Every one is a brand we stock, supply and install, and can service for you afterwards.

Stoves, gas, electric & bioethanol
Burley
A family firm making stoves in their own factory in Oakham, Rutland, since 1975 — genuinely built in Britain rather than assembled here. Every stove uses their Fireball combustion system, and the efficiencies are high for a wood burner: 90.4% on the Bradgate and Hardwick. They also make gas, electric and bioethanol fires — including flueless gas, which needs no chimney at all.

Focus Fireplaces
Makers of solid oak beams and timber fire surrounds, built in their own factory in York. They also make FocusCast — a non-combustible cast beam that looks like timber or stone but can sit closer to a stove than real oak.

The gas and electric side of Stovax — the same company, formed in 1988 to build gas and electric versions of the Stovax stoves, and still made in Exeter. If you have seen a Stovax wood burner you like but have no chimney, this is usually where the answer is.
