Guildford is our second home. A good share of our fitting work every month is somewhere between the town centre and the villages south of it, and the showroom in Send is about fifteen minutes up the A3, close enough to call in on a Saturday morning with a photograph of your chimney breast.
The housing stock keeps us on our toes. The Victorian and Edwardian terraces off the high street and around Stoughton usually have their original brick stacks, handsome but unlined, so a wood burner there normally means a flexible liner and a register plate done properly. The newer estates towards Burpham and Merrow often have no chimney at all, which is no obstacle, a twin wall flue or a balanced flue gas fire solves it, and we survey for both.
Everything starts with a free survey. We come out, measure up, check the flue and tell you honestly what the room can take. The quote that follows covers the whole job, supply, fitting, making good, and the paperwork that proves it was done right.
